Perkio Terms of Service

The rules for using the Perkio Discord bot and the Perkio app, whether you're a member of a server or the person who runs one.

1.What Perkio is, and what you agree to

Perkio is a rewards bot for Discord servers, with a companion desktop app. In a server, Perkio runs that server's own points economy: its currency, earning commands such as /daily and /work, a shop, games, draws, a leaderboard and /pay. Members can also install the Perkio app from /earn to earn the server's points while it runs.

Perkio is provided by NUREV.IO INC., a South Dakota corporation ("NUREV," "we," "us"). It is part of the Service described in the NUREV Terms of Service: Perkio is our Discord bot, and the Perkio app is a desktop application built on our technology.

By adding Perkio to a server, using its commands or installing the Perkio app, you agree to these Perkio Terms, the NUREV Terms of Service and the NUREV Privacy Policy. These Perkio Terms explain how the NUREV Terms apply to Perkio and add a few rules of their own. If anything here conflicts with the NUREV Terms of Service, the NUREV Terms of Service control. If you do not agree, do not use Perkio.

2.Members and server owners

  • Members use Perkio in a server: they earn, play, redeem and send points, and may install the Perkio app. The Member terms in Section 5 of the NUREV Terms apply to you.
  • Server owners add Perkio to a server they administer and run its economy. You are a Bot Partner under Section 6.18 of the NUREV Terms, which sets what a server earns; the rest of the Creator Agreement in Section 6 applies to you as that Section says, including Section 6.10 on Discord communities. Section 7 below adds a few points.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Perkio, and old enough to use Discord where you live. Games of chance and draws are for adults only (Section 5).

3.The Perkio app

  • Installing the app is your choice. Before it runs anything, it shows the NUREV notice, which is also published at nurev.io/disclosure. The notice explains exactly what the app does on your computer and what it costs you in power. The app runs only if you accept it.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must read the notice with you and accept it on the computer.
  • Install the app only on a computer you own, or one whose owner has agreed.
  • You can pause the app from its main screen at any time, and uninstall it like any other program. Points you have already earned stay in your wallet for that server.
  • The app earns points for one server at a time: the one you installed it from, or one you later switch it to.

4.Points

  • Each server has its own currency. Its points are issued by that server's owner and can be used only in that server.
  • Points have no cash value. They are not money, cannot be bought or sold, and cannot be exchanged for money or anything else of value, by Perkio, by the server owner or by anyone else.
  • /pay moves points between members of the same server, within the limits that server sets. Points never move between servers.
  • Balances a server imports from another bot become that server's points, under these terms.
  • Points gained by cheating, by mistake or through a bug may be removed or corrected by the server owner or by us.
  • Points may expire after 18 consecutive months without any activity on your account.
  • The server owner decides what points can be redeemed for and at what price, and is responsible for honoring redemptions (NUREV Terms, Section 5.5).

5.Games and draws

  • Adults only. You must be 18 or older to play games of chance (coin flip, blackjack, roulette, slots and similar) or to enter a draw. Perkio asks you to confirm your age before your first bet or entry.
  • Games are played for points only. Because points have no cash value, never stake money or anything of value on a game, inside or outside the server.
  • Draws follow Section 8 of the NUREV Terms. A draw that is open to the public with a prize of value has official rules and a free way to enter.
  • A server owner can turn games and draws off for their server.

6.Playing fair

Along with the acceptable-use rules in Section 9 of the NUREV Terms, you agree not to:

  • use more than one Discord account, or self-bots, macros or scripts, to collect points from /daily, /work, games or the app;
  • run the app on virtual machines, or on computers you don't control, to collect points;
  • exploit a bug instead of reporting it to the server's staff or to [email protected];
  • use /pay, draws or any other feature to scam or harass anyone, or to trade points for money, goods or services;
  • break Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or the server's own rules.

If you do, the server owner or we may remove points, block commands, or remove your access to Perkio.

7.Server owners

  • Add Perkio only to a server you administer, and run it within Discord's Terms of Service, Developer Policy and Community Guidelines.
  • You decide your server's economy settings, and you are responsible for your server: its rules, moderation, rewards and prizes, and how you treat members.
  • Never sell points for money, pay out money for points, or promise members earnings.
  • Keep games of chance and draws to members who are 18 or older.
  • If you earn from your members' use of the Perkio app, your shares are the ones in Section 6.18 of the NUREV Terms, shown for each server in your dashboard. Verification, payouts and taxes are covered by Section 6 of the NUREV Terms.

8.Discord

Perkio is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc. Discord's own terms and policies apply to your use of Discord, including in servers that use Perkio.

9.Privacy

Perkio uses Discord user and server IDs, the commands you send it, your points activity and, if you install the app, technical information about your computer. The NUREV Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and your choices.

11.Changes to these terms

We may update these Perkio Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new date, and give notice of material changes as Section 18 of the NUREV Terms describes. Using Perkio after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
